Delicious Acai Smoothie Bowl

Happy Friday Everyone!

If you’ve been on any social media platforms lately, I’m sure you’ve seen pictures of delicious acai smoothie bowls popping up on your timeline. These bowls of fruity goodness, topped with your favorite add-on ingredients make for a refreshing and relatively healthy summer treat. This is my take on the smoothie bowl, but the possible combinations are endless! Grab your favorite fruit, your choice of liquid, a thickening agent (greek yogurt works well), and get as creative as you’d like with your toppings! Here’s what I used for my tasty bowl…

Smoothie

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 banana (half  for the smoothie and half sliced for topping)

1/2 cup blueberries

1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1/4 cup Greek yogurt

2 tsp acai powder (loaded with antioxidants!)

Ice

*feel free to adjust the amounts in order to achieve your desired level of thickness

Toppings

Granola (I love Bear Naked V’Nilla Almond)

Banana

Blueberries

Shredded coconut

I blended all of the smoothie ingredients in my Nutri Bullet, poured it into a bowl, and added toppings (try to make it pretty, of course)
